First Look

091

Best Kept Rx included a very thoughtful information card.  Every expert included a quote about why they picked each item.  This is what I love to see in information cards.  It's the personal touches to a box that really count.

092

There was a letter activity in the box.  There was a letter addressed to me, along with a blank letter and a Bobby Pin.  This letter is about loving yourself, and realizing your “Awesomeness”. The Bobby Pin is made to represent that “you're admired”.  Every time you look at the token, you are to remember that you are loved and awesome!  Best Kept Rx included a black letter for you to send to 5 friends.  This is not a chain letter, nothing bad will happen if you don't do it (but it's a nice thing to do).

Cool Gear Water Infusion Bottle: Picked by Margaret, Coach for Working Parents $9.99  Margaret picked this bottle because drinking water is really important to staying healthy.  I have never had an infuser bottle, so I was really excited to try it out.

I filled it up with water and strawberries.  I have a crazy addition to McDonald's Cokes (yes I know they are like battery acid).  Needless to say, I really don't love water.  I will drink it after running, but it's hard any other time.  I was actually pleasantly surprised with how good the water tasted.  It was refreshing with a nice strawberry taste.  I could totally drink this more often.  If you let the strawberries sit overnight in the refrigerator, it tastes even better.

Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary Energy Essential Oil Blend: Picked by Jessie, Health Coach $4.05 Jessie picked this because Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary is her favorite store.  This essential oil is made with tangerine, fennel, cedarwood, coriander essential oils.  This essential oil is used to give you some motivation  and stamina.

083

Inglot Slim Gel Lipstick: Picked by Kristin, Beauty Expert: $14.00 This was picked by Kristin because this is perfect to use on drier, colder months.  This made my lips feel moisturized and it is a nice nude shade.

085

This is a swatch of the lipstick.  I love lip products, so this is great.

Baron Fig Set of 3 Pocket Notebook: Picked by Shauna, Founder $9.00  This was picked by the founder, because she uses these journals to clear her head.  You can draw, scrapbook, vent, or share your happy news.  I have seen those trash this journal books and I think I am going to do the same thing with this.

080

This is a look inside the book, perfect for adding my creative touch.  I haven't scrapbooked in forever, so I want to do something fun.

081

Green Tea Eyes by ToGoSpa picked by Megan, Style Expert $12.50 Megan picked this because these help tired eyes in the morning.  I am going to try these out first thing in the morning.  I have dark circles and I don't sleep much, so I hope these work their magic.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $49.54. I was really pleased with Best Kept Rx.  There is usually at least one item in a subscription box that isn't my thing, but I really loved everything.  Perhaps the best surprise in this box, was the water infuser bottle.  I really love my strawberry water, and I hope this can be a lifestyle change for me.  I don't use essential oils often, but I am excited to try anything to naturally give me energy and stamina.  The lip slick is great and I am excited to get started on the books.  I really enjoyed Best Kept Rx.  Not only was the value there, but I appreciate how each of the items in the box were chosen for specific reasons.  This box made me feel special and I look forward to seeing future boxes from this subscription.  If you want to check out Best Kept Rx and get on the waiting list, check them out HERE.
