Birchbox February 2015 Review

Birchbox February 2015 Review

I was happy to get my second Birchbox for February.  I received my first box really early, so I have been waiting for my second box.  Birchbox is $10.00/month and in each box, you get 5 sample beauty products.  I have one box for my special curated boxes and one box for my regular box.

When you sign up, you fill out a profile, so Birchbox can customize your box to your preferences.  There is a regular monthly box and they also have guest editor boxes. Birchbox releases spoilers and a full reveal of the guest editor boxes, so you will know which box to choose.  I actually have two Birchbox subscriptions.  This is the box for my newest account.

Here is the details about the Birchbox Point System

For every 100 points you earn, you get $10.00 to spend in the shop. There are lots of ways to earn points too!

1.  Subscribe

2.  Review Your Products: You get 10 points for every sample review you complete.  Each box contains 4-5 products, so that is around $5.00 in points you can earn monthly!  This makes the box $5.00 a month.  If you use the 50% off code, this makes your first box FREE.

3.  Shop!: For every dollar you spend in the Birchbox Store, you earn 1 point for each dollar spent on full-size products in the Birchbox Shop.

4.  Refer Your Friends: For every friend you refer to Birchbox, you will earn 50 points

Birchbox usually ships their special curated boxes first and then their regular boxes ship out.

Birchbox addresses each person with a title.  I actually just found out about this in a Facebook group.  This month, I am “The Brilliant” Erin Hamm.  Check out your box and let me know your title.

This month's box is super cute.  I love the orange and pink pattern.  Just as a reminder, be sure to save your boxes this year.  Birchbox has something planned for those who keep all their boxes.

The theme for February is Friendship.  Birchbox says “This box is dedicated to the people who cheer us on, calm us down, and make us laugh so hard we cry.”

Birchbox included some coupons in the box.  Rent the Runway sent a coupon for $30.00 off your $75.00 rental.  There was also a coupon to get a free Porefessional primer deluxe mini with any full size benefit purchase.  Just use the code BENEFITGIFT.

Juicy Couture Hollywood Royal .95 cents  This smells fantastic.  It usually takes me a couple of uses, to really decide how much I love a scent.  I am picking this up in the Birchbox Store for sure.  This is a mix of candied apple. white petals, and cashmere wood.

BeeKindâ„¢ Body Lotion  $1.85 This product is a favorite in the UK and is made with honey and organic chamomile.  The lotion has a bit of a citrus smell to it, which isn't my favorite.  It did leave my hands soft, so I will keep it in my car for emergencies.  Yes, lotion emergencies are real.  I hate dry hands.

Marcelle Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover For Sensitive Eyes  $5.00  This is a Birchbox Exclusive.  It is eye make-up remover, so it isn't particularly exciting.  I tried it out and it works.  I picked this in my sample choice, because the other products didn't wow me.  This doesn't really wow me either, but it's very useful.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner $16.00 This is FULL SIZE!  I don't like getting eyeliners in my boxes, since I have so many, but at least this is full size.  I haven't tried this out, because I currently have a liquid liner I am using.  As soon as I run out, I will try this out.  I have heard really good things about this.

Juice Beauty® Blemish Clearing Cleanser  $1.63  I am a fan of Juice Beauty products, so I was excited to see a new product.  This contains botanical that wash away the blah in your skin.  I tried this out and my skin felt clean, I will have to try this for a few days and see how i like it.

Final Thought: This box contained a retail value of $25.43, not bad for a $10.00 box.  I enjoyed everything in my Birchbox, although I do wish I would have received a beauty blender.  Anyway, I really love my Birchbox and the perfume is my favorite product this month.  You can't beat Birchbox's point system.  If you want to try Birchbox, click HERE.
