Black Dahlia is a brand new nail polish subscription box.  Black Dahlia is a handmade nail polish company that is both 5 Free and Vegan.  They have had an Etsy store for awhile and now have a subscription box.  The Black Dahilia subscription is $20.00/month and you have two options when you subscribe.  The first box choice comes with 2 8 ml nail polishes and a piece of handmade jewelry.  The jewelry is usally made with Black Dahlia polish (think a metal necklace with a beautiful stone amulet).  The other box option comes with 2 8ml polishes and a 14 ml polish.  You can even get a box without a subscription.

The Details:

Cost: $20.00/month, $26.00/month for international subscribers.

What's in the box? There are now two options for the monthly subscription box. The first Black Dahlia Lacquer subscription box includes two 8 ml polishes that are exclusives or previews from upcoming collections.  The subscription box also will include a piece of jewelry, handcrafted by us. Our jewelry will often incorporate Black Dahlia Lacquer polish.  The second subscription option is a polish only box. It will include one 14 ml polish and two 8 ml polishes. All of the polishes will be exclusives or previews of upcoming collections.

When am I billed?  Black Dahlia will bill you when you subscribe and then will send you an invoice the 5th of the month and must be paid by the 15th.

polish1

Hot Pink Tulips 14 ml $6.75 This is a full coverage flackie polish with pink to gold shifting ultra chrome flakies.  This is a bit tricky to apply, but the color is gorgeous.  When testing this out, I applied a thin coat at first and then built the color up.

Here is a swatch of Hot Pink Tulips.  I am not the neatest swatcher, but hopefully, you can get an idea of how beautiful this polish looks.

Blue Moon 8 ml This polish is an exclusive glitter polish.  This is a beautiful blue glitter polish has a great color and better yet, it wasn't terrible to remove.  So many glitter polishes take a sandblaster to remove, but this wasn't terrible.

Wine Roses 8 ml This is a beautiful full coverage wine colored polish.  Dark polishes easily apply with streaks, but this is streak free.

Final Thought: The December 2014 Black Dahlia subscription was outstanding.  I am in love with each of these polishes.  The polishes are full coverage and are each beautiful.  I love that in addition to beautiful polishes, these are vegan and 5 Free.  These polishes are mixed by hand and are beautifully made.  If you want to try Black Dahlia, click here and use the coupon FREE8ML to a FREE 8 ml polish and 10% off any size order.

So far so good! I use Seche Vite on my nails, and I think that helps.
