Loot Crate is the monthly gear and swag club for those that live and embrace the geek and gaming lifestyle. My husband has tried many different subscription boxes, looking for the perfect one.  Loot Crate is the one box that he has decided to keep.  Loot Crate sends all kinds of cool geek and gaming gear.  They also send a t-shirt in their box sometimes.  Each month, Loot Crate hand picks 6-8 new items to include in the box, which are kept secret until the boxes are delivered!

The Details

Cost: 1 month plan: $13.37/mo + $6 S&H. 3 month plan: $12.37/mo + $6 S&H 6 month plan: $11.67/mo + $6 S&H

When does Loot Crate ship? Loot Crates are sent out once each month, scheduled to begin shipping on the 20th unless otherwise specified. Signups are taken until 9pm PT on the 19th. If you signup after 9PM PT on the 19th, your first crate will come in the following month.

When am I charged? For one month subscriptions: You are charged at the time of signup and then the same date each month based on that signup date.* For example, if you signed up on the 28th then your renewal would be the 28th of each month. Loot Crate printed a message on the front of their box this month.  This month's box was created very differently than past boxes.

First Look

068

The theme for November is “Battle”.  Loot Crate also included their exclusive button.

He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot will be victorious” -Sun Tzu

Street Fighter Headband (Loot Crate Exclusive): When you think of fighting video games, Street Fighter has to come to mind.  Street Fighter has been around since the 1980's and is popular all over the world.  Now you can be just like Ryu, when you wear this headband.

Assassin's Creed Unity IV Coin with Velvet Pouch (Loot Crate Exclusive): This coin has the seal of the Assassins on one side and a space to engrave your name on the other side.  My husband doesn't play Assassin's Creed, but it's a cool coin nonetheless.

060

Halo Drop Ship Mini Figure $5.00  My husband used to play Halo all the time, before kids, work and life got busy.  This Mega Bloks mini figure is pretty cool.

072Pirates vs Ninjas Shirt:  This t-shirt depicts the age-old rivalry (since 2001) of pirates vs ninjas. Who would win in a battle?  When you share your photos with Loot Crate, use the hashtags #LootPirate and #LootNinja to tell the world your choice.

Mini Megaman Helmet: My husband used to watch this cartoon, so he really liked this helmet. This helmet also comes in red, green and red.  This is a Loot Crate Exclusive.

066

Loot Crate included exclusive downloads for Lichdom Battlemage and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition with Steam.   Loot Crate also included a card about the pirate vs ninja rivalry.

The Box: This month the box was EPIC.  Loot Crate started decorating the inside of their boxes with the July 2014 box.  Since the July box, Loot Crate has made each box bigger and better.  This month, they made the box completely transform into Street Fighter.  There are instructions in the front of your information guide.

A closer look:  There are Mega Man and Ryu punch outs in the back of the information guide, so you can create some great battles.  Who would win in a fight between Ryu and Mega Man.

Final Thought: This was a pretty great box for my husband.  C really loved everything in the box.  I didn't do a price breakdown of the box, as most of the items were Loot Crate exclusives.  I love when Loot Crate includes t-shirts in the box, as that really increases the value of the box.   If you want to try Loot Crate click HERE and use the coupon subscriptionboxmom to save 10%.
