There are two new Limited Edition Holiday Birchbox, boxes : the Home Sweet Homespun Box ($40.00) and the Vanity Affair box ($98.00). I bought both boxes, because they both look fabulous! This review is for the Home Sweet Homespun Box . At the end of the review, there are coupon codes and subscription deals.
Birchbox shipped a box within a box. The outer box was a beautiful patterned teal color.
First Look: The inner box had the same pattern, as the box on the outside.
The inner box: I love the blue and white combination.
There was an information card that gave a description of the box. This box is all about products that will keep you cozy all year long.
The back of the information card had a list of all the items in the box
There were three additional cars in the box. They discussed how to take pictures for your mantel, secrets of a stress free hostess and 5 ways to warm p a frigi
Milk Bar Milk Bar Crack Pie® Mix $16.00 This is cookie mix made with cornflakes, chocolate chips, marshmallow, cookie mix. I opened up the tin and it smells great inside! These cookies look so good. Each tin makes 8-12 cookies.
There was a recipe inside, along with all the ingredients to make the cookies. If you love the Milk Company, the have their own subscription service HERE.
Meri Meri Little Garden Treat Kit $12.95 Birchbox suggests using these tags to package up the cookies for friends and family. I am going to use them for other gifts, as I am eating those cookies.
Illume Mini Tin in Noble Currant $9.00 This candle is a mix of sugar and spice scents and I think it smells great! This candle also burns for 25 hours.
Soak Handmaid Hand Cream $10.00 This hand cream is made with shea butter (a must for any great lotion) and smells like figs. It also has vitamin A and E to make your hands soft. This is a thicker lotion than most lotions and it leaves your hands so soft. I really love it.
Askinosie Chocolate® 70% Cortés, Honduras Single Origin Sipping Chocolate $3.69 I haven’t tried this yet, but I love a good cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day. The sugar cane in this is organic and the cocoa beans are fair trade.
COWSHED Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm $8.00 I was a bit uncertain when I read this product, as his has orange essentials oils. I tried this out and the smell is very very faint. This has a mix of orange and rose essential oils and makes my lips feel great.
Richer Poorer Socks $12.00 I am not a huge sock person. I wear white socks everyday. These are comfortable socks and they are shaped, so they won’t slide off your foot.
Makerskit Birchbox Exclusive Hanging Photo Clips Complete Project Kit $24.00 This little kit comes with everything you need to create a photo banner for your wall or mantle.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $95.61! This was a really fun box, and there isn’t anything in this box I won’t use. The lotion is great and so moisturizing. I love the candle and it’s going to come in handy, living with 3 stinky men/boys. I can’t wait to eat those cookies! If you want to try this box, click HERE.
