October 2014 Julep Maven Review + Free Box + November Spoiler

Julep Maven is one of my first and subscriptions and I really love it.  The polish formula is  great and it’s 5 Free.  The theme for October is the Black Magic Collection!   I went on vacation the first of the month, that’s why I am reviewing this late.

My box came in a huge purple box.  I think this is the biggest box I have received from Julep.

By the time I got around to reviewing this box, I couldn’t remember what I ordered.

I loved all the colors this month and I almost did a full upgrade, but I ended up doing an add on.

November Sneak Peek: Julep will be revealing two new mascaras on Oct 20th.  They promise to bring volume, unique brushes and lash health to your lashes.

The bonus treat this month was candy corn.  It is perfect for Halloween, but I hate candy corn.  My kids love it and they thought I was the best mom ever, when I gave it to them

There were two coupon codes in the box:  DROP30 saves you 30% on your next order and 15PLUS gets you a free polish with an order over $25.00.

092The quote this month was by Edgar Allen Poe (My favorite poet) “There is no beauty without some strangeness.

My Add on this month, was the Classic with a Twist Box.  Here is what was inside:

The Night Shift Mask is a new product from Julep.  It goes on like a thin layer and it is designed repair and moisturize your face overnight.  I tried it out and my face felt great in the morning.

Logan: This is a sultry aubergine shimmer.  It looks like a really dark purple.  I am ready for some dark nail colors.

DeAnne:  This is a ripe loganberry crème.  I love this color and it will be my “go to” color this fall.  I would love to have a sweater this color.

This month, they has a special box, along with the regular choices.  I picked the The Dark Arts Box.  I love Halloween and I am ready for spooky.

They included an Oxygen Top Coat in the box.  I love this stuff and it makes my manicure last so much longer than before.  There were also some chevron/zig zag stickers.  want to do a orange and black mani with these to make stripes.

Glam Roc:  I think I have a polish by this name, but I don’t remember this color.  This is a dark blueish purple with little sparkles.  So pretty and it reminds me of the night sky.

Estelle: This is midnight black with holographic shimmer.  I love the rainbow sparkles in this.

103Cleopatra:  This is black latex and reminds me of cat woman.  I didn’t have any all black nail polish, so I was happy to get this.

Final Thought:  I loved my boxes this month.  The Dark Arts box was really cool and perfect for Halloween.  The Classic with A Twist box was also great and I love DeAnne.  Julep is a FANTASTIC value.   Free BoxBecome a Maven today, use the code FREETREATS to get your own 4-Piece Halloween Themed Maven Welcome Box for FREE (you just pay $2.99 for shipping).  If you choose to sign up for a 3 month subscription (BEST DEAL), you will pay only $19.95/month and get this box COMPLETELY FREE.
