August 2014 Dottiebox Review

August 2014 Dottiebox Review

Dottiebox, sent me these boxes to review.  Dottiebox is an artisan/indie subscription box that sends handmade goodies, coupons, and items from small businesses and indie brands.  I love handmade products and items from independent artists. I have found that handmade items, are better made in most cases, than commercial products.  There is also a mini Dottiebox that send 2-3 products for $10.00/month, plus $3.00 shipping.

The Details:

Cost: Dottiebox Full Size Box: $20.00/month  Dottiebox Mini Box: $10.00/month

Shipping:  Shipping is $6.00 for the full size box and $3.00 for the mini box.  They ship anywhere in the US & to APO addresses.

Uncomon Scents Candles “Sun Shower”: $12.00 This candle reminds me of Elizabeth Arden's Sunflower.  It is a mix of Lily, Citrus and Geranium essential oils.

Maya's Berry Medley Jam $4.00: This is a combination of Cherries, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Pure non GMO Vegan Cane Sugar.  Perfect for a biscuit.

Gustus Vitae Condiments Taste of Tuscany:  This smells great and is a mix of Basil, Oregano, Red Bell Peppers, Garlic, Green Bell Peppers, Black Pepper, Fennel, and Rosemary.  This is recommended for pizza, chicken, mushrooms, and pasta.

Music City Suds Soap Sample: Music City Suds soaps are all natural, vegetarian, and handcrafted in Nashville.  I am not exactly sure of the smell, but it seems like it is peppermint or eucalyptus.

The full size Dottiebox had a total retail value of $23.99.  Read on for the mini box.

Like the full size box, the mini box came with a list of the items in the box and faqs about the company.

Naturally Kamdyn $5.00: I love hair ties.  These work great for my hair during workouts and no matter how many I get, I always loose them.

Moe's Apothecary 4 oz Sugar Scrub “Coconut Lime”: $8.00:  My dislike for coconut is no secret, but this isn't bad.  This is a mix of coconut and kiwi.  This reminds me of the beach for some reason.

The mini box had a total retail value of $14.00.

Final Thought: The Dottiebox full and mini boxes had great values.  Both boxes had a retail value over the price of the box.  My favorite item in the boxes was a the candle.  It smells amazing.  I liked the wide variety of items in the boxes and the quality of each item.  If you want to try Dottiebox, click HERE.
