Gramsly Subscription Review – Care Packages for Older Adults

Gramsly Subscription Review

Gramsly Subscription Review

Gramsly is a new subscription box for older adults.  Each month, Gramsly sends 10-15 items, along with a note and picture to people over the age of 50.  Monthly boxes are $36.00 a month. and there are discounts for longer subscriptions.  I was excited to review this box, because there is a shortage of boxes for older adults.  My husband is lucky to have his grandmothers around.  I decided to make this box for my husband's 93 year old grandmother.

The Details:

Cost: $36.00 monthly. $34.00/mo for 3 months, and $32.00/mo for 6 months.

What's in the box? Gramsly sends 10-15 items, along with a note and picture, to people over the age of 50.

*Note: I couldn't find retail values of all the items in this box.  I will list the prices I did find.

The Box

First Look

I like the little Gramsly sticker on the envelop.  You can personalize a note for your loved one, and have it included in the box.

When you order a box, you can include a personalized note and a picture!  I love the personalized aspect of this box.  I know C's grandmother will love the picture.

Gramsly individually wrapped each item.  I mentioned C's grandmother's favorite colors were pink and purple.  The gifts were wrapped in pink tissue paper, and there was purple tissue paper in the box.

Journal:  This is a nice lined journal.  I am not sure if C's grandmother will write in a journal, but it is cute.

365 Body Lotion (Whole Foods): This lotion has macadamia oil and shea butter.  This smells fantastic.  I like that it is from Whole Foods, because they strive to include ingredients that are close to nature.

Straw Purse/Bag:  I am not sure of the brand name, but this is a nice bag for C's grandmother to carry her bible to and from church.

Camille Beckman, Glycerine Bar Soap $3.15: This smells nice and glycerine soap helps retain moisture.  This will look pretty in the bathroom.

Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate $2.19  I love Burt's Bees products.  This moisturizes and protect lips.  This also adds a hint of color.

Loufah $2.00: This a pretty and soft loofah.  I know C's grandmother will like it.

IMG_7079Simply Balanced Fruit Strip .60:  These are made with all natural ingredients and are strawberry flavored.

LARABAR Fruit & Nut Food Bar-Cherry Pie $2.50:  C's grandmother is a fantastic cook.  She doesn't cook as much now, so this will be a nice easy snack.

Final Thought:  I love the idea behind this box.  There are very few subscription boxes for people over the age of 50.  I loved that Gramsly used tissue paper in C's grandmother's favorite colors.  The lotion, bag and lip balm is very nice.  I do wish there were a few more full size products for the price.  I did like the ability to personalize the box with a picture and a note.  If you are looking for a special present for a person over the age of 50, Gramsly might be right for you.  To check out Gramsly, click HERE.
