This month Beauty Box 5 is celebrating their birthday. They started with an idea in Nov 2011 and launched in February 2012.
Beauty Box 5 uses a folded card as their information card. They include pictures and information about each product. There were two items missing from my box and there were two items not on the card. There was also a coupon for $10.00 off mynamenecklace.com. I found a necklace for $17,95, so this is a pretty good coupon.
Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara .14fl oz $8.48 (sample version) I got this in my September 2013 Ipsy This lengths, curly and volumizes. It does a pretty good job but I have tons of mascaras from boxes, so this didn’t blow me away.
Rockstar Nails Nail Polish and Nail Sprinkles $14.99 each. These two polishes are included to make a caviar manicure. To create the look, you paint one coat of the polish, wait 10 seconds, then add the nail sprinkles. This looks like a great look.
John Frieda touchable full for colour treated hair shampoo and conditioner These are two foil packets of shampoo and conditioner. I have super thick hair, so I am a bit nervous about a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. This is one product not on the card, so i don’t have any other information about this product.
Aveeno Positively Nourishing Calming Body Wash 87 cents. This is a good body wash. It smells great and left my skin feeling nice. I am going to save this for future travel. This is the other product in my box that wasn’t on the card.
Missing items: My card indicated I should receive Amala Beauty Detoxifying Body Butter sample (retail value $32.00 1.7 oz) and I was supposed to get the Fine Featherheads Fly Ties (retail value $7.95. I contacted Beauty Box 5 about my missing items on 2/11 and am waiting to hear back. I hope they can get me the correct items, because I would love the fly ties!
Final Thought: The total value of my box was $39.33. Honestly, the nail polish kept me from really being disappointed in this box. I wish I had received all the correct items in my box, and I hope Beauty Box 5 makes it right. I will be sure to update when I hear back from them. Beauty Box 5 is only $12.00 a month, so one nail polish was worth more than my box. You can’t really go wrong with that! If you want to try Beauty Box 5, click HERE.
