IMG_1476-2Activity/Therapy Exercise (Retail Value per SiNAP Box $55.00)  This month's challenge is 1 meal a day of 100% organic and gluten free eating for 21 days.  There is also a Sensory Integration Exercise using food preparation.  SiNAP advises using actions such as kneading, stirring, spreading and shaking to increase sensory tolerance through the exploration of different food textures.  You can also further speech and verbal recognition.  You can increase confidence building by giving your child assignments in the kitchen.    They also suggest chopping up different fruits and veggies and letting your child explore textures, colors and tastes.

The Kid Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook

The Kid Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook

The Kid Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook (Retail Price $15.20)  This is a very interesting cookbook that combines a gluten free, casein free diet to help children with ADHD and Autism.  I haven't read the whole book, but I love some of the recipes.  At the very least this book will give me more nutritious meals for my family.  I am interested to see if this diet is effective.

TeachTown Social Skills Special Needs Autism DVD

TeachTown Social Skills Special Needs Autism DVD

TeachTown Social Skills Special Needs Autism DVD  (Retail Value per SiNAP Box $104.70) ($34.90 an episode) .  This DVD series comes with 6 shows: Follow fire drill instructions, Raise your hand before speaking out, Say why your mad, Respect Personal Space, Stay Calm when schedule changes, and How to cheer yourself up.  Each episode is a cute cartoon that teach kids each message.  There is also a 3 lesson plan DVD.

Chewi Gem Chubes

Chewi Gem Chubes

Chewi Gem Chubes (Retail Price: $19.95) “Each package comes with one chube strung on a cotton cord and 3 extra chubes of the same color in the package. You make the design that fits you best.  They can be worn as a necklace with as many on as you like.  An additional bonus of this design is that the chubes can be strung along the pull ties of hoodie style sweatshirts to give a clever chew experience during cold winter months.  Each chube is approximately 2 inches in length. Due to the popularity of the hoodie style sweatshirt, these are a fan favorite.  However, many hoodie companies are now making their product with a flat style pull tie.  We have discovered that using 45″- 60″ rope style, boot laces can replace the flat tie in an instant and work great with the chubes.  These type of laces can be purchased at any major sporting goods or box store merchant.”

These are really neat and are FDA approved silicone and are lead, latex, BPA, PVC and phthalate free.  Each Chube can withstand 100lbs of pressure.  My son chews on his shirts from time to time, and I think this would be a great alternative to help preserve his clothes.

Final Thought: The total retail value of $203.09.  I liked the this box had a balance between products and information.  I felt that this was a balance box of nutrition, activities, therapy tools, and education.  In the future, I would love to see an information card included with reasons for each product.  I think this would make this box even better.  If you are interested in SiNAP box, use LuvSB25 for 25% OFF all subscription box plans (Valentine's Promotion) for the first 300 families.  Also put “subscriptionboxmom” in the “How did you hear about us” section.
