MunchPak Review and Discount

MunchPak is a new snack subscription box.  MunchPak sent me this box for review.  Munchpak is not a healthy snack box.  It is just an assortment of some of the best snacks.  I do not eat super , it was healthy and when I want a snack, I grab chips or something sweet.  Munchpak says ” Let’s face it; even those who claim to be on strict diets are guilty of sneaking in their favorite brand of potato chips or candy bar from time to time.

Our goal is to provide you with new things to munch on every month. We send it you all packed up and ready to eat. Call it a MunchPak, if you will.”  Seriously, this is my new favorite snack box.

The Details:
Cost: $19.95

The Box
MunchPak ships in a plain brown box with MunchPak tape.  Don't let the plain box fool you, it was packed with tasty treats.
Lotte Koala's March Strawberry
These are from the Philippines and are so good.  They are a cookie with strawberry filling.  I want more of these
Starburst
Skittles and a Rice Krispie Treat
These are all familar brands and favorites in our house.  L would have ate the Skittles and Starburst in one day, if I had let him. I have fond memories of eating Skittles with my best friend, as a child.  Yum.
Annabelle's Rocky Road
Cadbury Flake
The Rocky Road is Chocolate, marshmallow and cashews, can we say yummy?  The Rocky Road was so good.  The Flake bar is by Cadbury.  I actually didn't know Cadbury was based out of the UK.  The Flake was a very tasty, flaky, chocolate bar.
Sour Punch Straws
Salt Water Taffy
Chick O Stick
Jolly Rancher Watermellon Sucker and crunch
Laffy Taffy
Sour Smog Balls
Sour Punch Straws, Salt Water Taffy, Jolly Rancher Suckers and Laffy Taffy are all pretty common.  I love apple sour punch straws, Laffy Taffy and Jolly Ranchers.  C loves salt water taffy and enjoyed the pieces in the box.  I had never had the Jolly Rancher Crunch and Chews and I really liked them.  They are crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle
The Chick O Stick is All-American candy with crunchy roasted peanut butter and flaky toasted coconut rolled up into one delicious piece of sweet heaven.  This is really good and it has been around since the Great Depression.  I actually have never heard of it.
I have had Sour Smog Balls. These are tiny sour balls that are chewy in the middle.
Nonni's Almond Chocolate Biscotti
Loucks Sesame Snaps
I am not a big fan of biscotti, but this was pretty good considering.  I have never heard of sesame snaps.  It is basically sugar and sesame seeds.  It makes for a really tasty combination.
Japanese Cocktail Peanuts de la Rosa
Kar's Sweet and Salty Mix
I have never had Japanese Cocktail Peanuts.  These tasted like candy coated peanuts.  C loved the Kar's sweet and salty mix.
Hawaiian Kettle Style Chips-Original
Real potatoes sliced and slow cooked in the old Hawaiian tradition in a select blend of oils for a crispy, crunchy potato chip with just the perfect pinch of salt.
These were really good kettle chips.  They tasted like real potatoes, but had the crunch and salt of a chip.
Poptarts Brown Sugar Cinnamon
Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Keebler Fudge Stripe Originals
C loves Pop Tarts, so he will eat these.  I love Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies.  They are so soft and chewy.  Our whole family loves Fudge Stripe Cookies.  These will make a nice desert one night,
Chex Mix
C wanted me to buy some of this at the store the other day, but I forgot.  Problem Solved!!
Handi Snacks Ritz Crackers and Cheese
I have taste buds of a child.  I loves these crackers and cheese.  I am not sure if the “cheese” is real cheese, but it sure it tasty.
Pelon Pelo Rico
This is a tamarid flavored jelly candy.  You push up the white part and the candy comes out little holes on top. This was not a family favorite, but it is interesting.
Slim Jim
My husband C loves these and will eat this up.
Marinela Gansito
This is a cookie with strawberry jelly.  This looks tasty, but I haven't tried it yet.
Whole Box

Final Thought:  I loved this box.  This is seriously my favorite snack box.  This is filled with my kind of snacks.  While it's true there are some candy/treats that are found at Target etc, I like that they are in small amounts.  Often, I will buy a big package of cookies and half goes to waste.  I like that there were so many yummy treats in one box.  I didn't have to drive to a store, drag the kids out and spend too much.  MunchPak is only $19.95 for 20-30 snacks.  $19.95 is a great price, but for one week, you can save 25%.  I have signed up for a 6 month subscription.  This is my favorite snack box.  If you are interested in signing up, click HERE.

  1. Michelle, February 21, 2014:

Honestly, I don’t think this munch pack is worth it. All these snacks are stuff that you can find at a gas station. I also didn’t like how you didn’t list the prices/calculate the value of all the snacks in the munch pack. Furthermore, I think there are other candy subscription sites that offer more unique candy. Overall, this was an informative review nonetheless. Looking forward to your new reviews.

I normally do retail values on items, but I generally don’t do retail values on boxes with several snack size items (ie Love with Food). There were many items in the box and not all of them are sold online.

    Thank you munchpak
