Darby Smart TO DIY FOR Review and Discount

Darby Smart is a monthly DIY box for adults.  My son loves his Kiwi Crate and I wanted a craft box for me.  I saw the Back Friday deal from Darby Smart and had to sign up!  Every month, Darby Smart sends a box with selected craft and all the materials needed to complete the craft.  Darby Smart is $19.00 a month and each month bring a new craft to your door.  Each designer looks at the latest trends in fashion and home trends to make a great project from jewelry to home decor.

The Details
Cost: $19.00 a month 3, 6 and 12 month plans available.  You buy the monthly boxes separately.

The Box
I liked the look of my Darby Smart box, but mine looked like it got sat on during shipment.
First Look
The project for this month, was to make a Marquee Sign, complete with lights
Music
This was stuck to my information card.  I didn't know what it was until I saw other people's boxes.  This was supposed to be on the inside lid, when you lift the lid, it plays music.  This was very cute, once I knew what it was.  Had the postal service not smashed my box, I am sure it would have worked great.
Directions
The project was very easy to complete.  The directions walked you through all the steps.
Boards
Darby Smart included 2 boards for the projects, one was made to be used for practice
Sharpie and Awl
I have never used an awl before this project, so I was excited to try one.
Stencils
Darby Smart included a full set of stencils (numbers and letters).  These will come in handy for future school projects
Lights
Darby Smart included two sets of LED lights.  (batteries not included)
Entire Box
Finished Project
The project was super easy.  You tape down the stencil, color it in with the sharpie and then poke holes for the light with the awl.

Final Thought: I really enjoyed this project.  The marquee sign was fast, easy and fun to make.  I like that the project didn't take too much time.  It is hard to find time to craft with two children running around.  Darby Smart boxes are $19.00 a month, but you can save $10.00 on your first box, save $10.00 on your purchase by clicking HERE and using the code howdydarby.
