Try The World Review and 6 Month Giveaway

Congrats Alisa N for winning the 6 month Giveaway!
Try the World is a brand new subscription box that sends gourmet food and art from around the world.  I was really excited about this box, as their first stop was Paris.  I am in love with Paris, but I haven't been lucky enough to go yet.  Try the World agreed to send me a mini Paris box to review.  Try the World made a mini Paris box for me to review (the regular subscription boxes are much larger).

The Details:
Cost: $45.00 every 2 months (Subscription) or $60.00 for a larger one time box (Classic Box)
What is in the box? Every 2 months Try The World's team of travelers and local experts curates a collection of products that best represent each country. In your box you will find not only a some of the most delicious gourmet finds but also a companion on the history of the products and how to use them.  There is not only food in the boxes.  The founders Kat and David believe “The two essential ways to discover new cultures are through food and art”.  In addition to food, there will also be “culture gems” such as a music play list, a list of top local films or a poem.  There is a subscription service or a larger one time box purchase.
The Boxes:
    a.  The Subscription Box is $45.00 and comes with an assortment of gourmet goodies every 2 months
b.  The Classic Paris box is $60.00 and comes with 12 gourmet products and other surprises.  The Classic box is a 1 time purchase.
When do boxes ship?  Your first box will arrive no later than 4 weeks after you order.  All the boxes get shipped together.  When you receive your first box, your next box will arrive 60 days later.  If you purchase the Classic box, it will be shipped within a week of purchase, no matter when you order it.
When am I billed: You are billed the day you order and then every 60 days after that.
The Review:
The Mini Paris Box
I received the mini Paris box by priority mail.  The box was neatly wrapped in a white box and secured by a purple ribbon.  I love the extra details companies go, to make a beautiful box.
First Look
Tea blends by Le Palais des Thés

I am not a fan of tea, but my husband is.  This will be perfect for C to take to the office.  He can open a package and have an escape to Paris for a few minutes.

Artisanal natural jams by Alain Millia in Abricot Bergeron “Apricot”

I loved this jam and had to resist eating half the jar.  I think this will taste great on some ice cream.  How about a french ice cream Sunday.

Artisanal natural jams by Alain Millia in Myrtille Sauvage “Wild Blueberry”

This tastes wonderful and I love blueberry.  I have finding the perfect breakfast, to really enjoy this one morning.

Hot cocoa by Les Confitures à L'Ancienne

I love Hot Cocoa and French hot cocoa sounds even better.  I will drink it this winter, while reading a good book.  My whole family loves cocoa, so I will have to drink this at nap time.

The Cards: Front The Cards: Back

I love the quality of the cards.  Each card is full color and glossy.  There is a welcome message and features of each product.  There is also a poem, postcard, map of where the products come from, and play list.

The Full Paris Box (the subscription version)
This is the box that you will receive in a subscription.  The next stop on the world tour will be Tokyo, followed by Rio.

Final Thought:  I am very impressed with Try the World.  I love that each product is French and Try the World told me where each item is from.  I will also add, the customer service from Try the World has been fantastic.  My emails have been replied to quickly and the staff has been incredibly nice.  I am going to play one of the songs on the play list, read the poem and have some jam on a croissant.  I would love to go to Paris, but this will satisfy me for a bit.  What do you think of Try the World?  Would you like to win a box, or how about 3?  Try the World is giving the United Box Bloggers a giveaway for a 6 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION (3 boxes-one every other month) to Try to World.  Please be sure to follow all 6 bloggers and do the other mandatory task.  We will check that the winner has done everything.  Once you follow all 6 of us, every giveaway will be EASY (we have an amazing line up of giveaways)!  This prize is a $135.00 value!   If you want to get this box, use this link with the code SBMOM12 to save 30% on your box.
