Stitch Fix Review

This is how the box comes
Stitch Fix is a subscription box that send 5 clothing items a month.  They send accessories, shirts, skirts, dresses, pants, jeans, etc.  You pay $20.00 for a stylist to pick out your items.  You try them on in your own home.  If you like one of the items, you can buy it, otherwise you send the rest of the clothes back.  It is free shipping both ways.  The average price of an item is $75.00.  If you decide to keep all 5 items, you get 25% off your total.  Your $20.00 also comes off any item you decide to buy.  You do risk loosing $20.00 if you don't like anything.  You fill out a style profile and you can link clothing boards on Pinterest to the site, so you stylist has even more information.  I signed up to try Stitch Fix.  I added comments and and my preferences, but didn't connect my Pinterest.  I actually don't have any style boards on Pinterest.

I am not a very stylish person.  I work from home and take care of my 4 year old and 16 month old children.  I tend to wear t-shirts and jeans most of the time.  I do like to dress up and go out, but it is hard to find the time to go out and shop.  I loved the idea of Stitch Fix as soon as I heard about it.  I have read several reviews, and decided to take the plunge.  I requested mainly tops, no orange, brown, yellow colors and said I like classic styles.  I was sent 4 tops and a necklace.  Everything was packaged neatly in the box.  There was also a priority mail envelope to mail back what I didn't want.  There was also an envelope containing a card explaining Stitch Fix and an invoice of all the items.  If I choose to keep all the items, my total after the $20.00 and the 25% off would be $185.00
First Look
All the clothes were neatly folded in the box.  I received 4 tops and a necklace. The envelope contained my invoice and a card about Stitch Fix
Natural Life Roma Cowl Neck Jersey Knit Top $48.00

I love the color and fabric of this top, but it was too big.  As much as I like the fabric, this type of fabric can tend to cling in the wrong areas.

Under Skies Bryce Pin-Tuck Short Sleeve Blouse $48.00
AND Zad Multi Leaf Strand Necklace $38.00

This is my favorite top of the bunch.  I love the color and it is perfect for going out.  It is more than I usually spend on a top, so that is my hesitation.  The necklace is silver and I love how it is so different.

Zad Multi Leaf Strand Necklace $38.00
Here is a close up picture of the necklace.  I don't have anything like it and I am horrible at picking out my own jewelry
Splendid Annelle Striped Short Sleeve Shirt $78.00

At first look this top is nice.  Upon further inspection, there are some things I don't like.  1.  I don't like the horizontal stripes.  I feel it makes me look bigger than I am.  2.  It is dry clean only.  I am a work at home mom with 2 little kids.  I don't go to the dry cleaner.  3.  It is $78.00!  Maybe I am cheap, but there is no way I will pay $78.00 for a top.

Evolution by Cyrus Trinity Zip Front Tank Top $55.00

This is not something I would normally buy.  It fits nicely but I don't like that it white.  It is a bit see through and I don't have a camisole to wear under it (remember I am a jeans and t-shirt girl).  Also, white scares me.  My two adorable children attract some dirt and I probably do too.  I would buy this if it was another color.

My Box contents.

Final Thought:  I like most of the items in my box.  I will definitely try Stitch Fix again.  I am going to add some Style boards to Pinterest before my next fix, so I can get even better customization.  I felt the items picked, fit my profile and they kept to my colors.  I haven't made up my mind what to get.  I am leaning towards the green shirt and necklace.  What do you think?  Please comment below, as I really would love opinions.

Update: I chose the green shirt and the necklace!

I actually like the way the striped top looks on you, but I wouldn’t pay that for something that looks like a t-shirt!

I like the green top… but it seems really expensive!!
