Love with Food August Review August 2013

I really enjoy getting Love with Food each month for several reasons.  1.  It is a cheap box.  It is only $12.00 after shipping.  2.  Love with Food donates a meal for every box sold.  3.  It is full of great new foods/snacks to try.  4.  Rewards!  You get referral points when someone uses your link.  You also get referral points for filling out reviews of the products in your box.  You can use your points to buy more of your favorite snacks from your box.

Good Boy Organics Organic BOPS Sea Salt Potato Crisps $3.49 for 3ozs

These chips are made with 65% less fat than regular potato chips and are organic.  I received the sea salt flavor.  These were good but not great.  They seem to have an initial sweet taste and then the have a potato chip flavor.

Dizzy Pig BBQ Co All-Natural BBQ Spice Rubs

Dizzy Dust is made from peppers, chilies, herbs, and exotic spices.  This is best on pork and poultry.

Rip van Wafels Caramel-Filled Amsterdam Waffle Cookie $3.33

These sound tasty.  The directions say to warm them over a cup of coffee.  I don't drink coffee, so I gave this to C to eat.

Sahale Snacks All-Natural Fruit & Almond Crunchers

I have had snacks by this company in another box recently.  This was okay, but it's not my choice for a snack.

Harvest Snaps Gluten-Free Baked Snapea Crisps

The snapea crisps were one of my favorites from the box.  They had the texture of those big puffy Cheetos. (Can you tell I love junk food?) These were actually good.  They have a slight snap pea taste but it was mostly like a potato chip.

Project 7 Sugar-Free Fresh Mint Tubes $1.00

I liked these mints.  They had a great taste and weren't too strong.  Project life plants a tree for every tube sold.

El Pinto All Natural Salsa
This had a good flavor but was very spicy.  I like spicy food, but this was too much for me.
Coupons for $2.00 off the salsa, B1G1 for the Snapea and a card about referral credits.
Whole Box

Final Thought:  I did not love this box.  Last month's box was great and this box fell short.  The Snapea snacks were my favorite of the box.  I am hoping the next box is better.
