The Paper Crate November 2018 Review

The Paper Crate is a card making subscription boxes. Boxes are $29.99 and come with everything you need to make four original & uniquely designed cards. You will get the paper, embellishments, stamps and more. The cards will be crafted by using a variety of techniques, that are good for beginners or seasoned crafters.

Everything came in a large white box.

First Look

There was a smaller box in the box that included some tools for the cards. There was spatula, bone folder, ink pad, embossing powder, tape roller, and clear stamp block.

This month's box will use embossing and stenciling techniques. The information sheet has a list of everything in the box. There are also a list of pro tips. If you don't have an embossing gun, you can still make the cards. I have an embossing gun, but I couldn't locate it to do the review.

Card #1:

This card makes a beautiful poinsettia card. You will need craft tweezers, green marker, black pigment ink, heat tool for embossing and adhesive.  The adhesive was included in the little black box.

Each card has a coordinated clear envelope with the paper pieces and a larger white piece of paper for the card. This kit also needs the red ink, embossing stamp set, and rose god paper.

This card turned out beautifully. My sons wanted to help, so I let them color the leaves.

Card #2:

This card didn't require as many extra items. You just need scissors, clear versamark/embossing ink, heat tool, and black ink.

This kit uses the regular card set, along with the stamp set, rhinestones, and ribbon.

Since I didn't emboss, the poinsettias don't stand out as much as they should, but it still looks cute.

Card #3:

You will need blue ink for this card, adhesive, the embossing ink, heat tool, scissors, and a small holiday stamp. I didn't have the holiday stamp, so I skipped that part of the card.

The products included in the kit were the regular card kit, paper plate for embossing, clear stamp block and the silver paper.

I love the look of the silver, mixed with the patterned paper. and the hanging ornament tag.

Card #4:

This card needed navy ink, but I just had blue, so I used the same one as card 3. You also need adhesive, scissors and washi/craft tape.

I was excited to see how the stencil would work out. I also like that there were several items I can use over and over again.

This one has a similar look as the last one, but I love the snowflake background paper. The dotted ribbon also adds to the look.

This is a look at all four cards that were made this month.

Final Thought: This box included many items and made four different cards. This box is great for people who love to craft. You do need a fair number of items in your own supplies, so this is best for someone who has some supplies. I love getting a new stamp set to be able to use again. The cards turned out beautifully, and I was glad to craft again. If you want to subscribe, use this link.
