Challenge Accepted Box I get several boxes a month and while I recycle, I love seeing boxes use their box as part of the fun. This month's box can turn into a set of two tunnels, 1st and 2nd place trophies, and two ramps.

First Look

The “Challenge Accepted” magazine contains ideas on how to configure the track, games to play and more.

Right on the inside of the magazine, there were pictures of everything in the box.

There are pages to gives you inspiration on ways to use your hot wheels track. The rest of the book is filled with activities and games for your child.

Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary 64′ Impala Hot Wheels has released a series of black & gold cars for Hot Wheel's 50th Anniversary. I left this in the package for the photo, but my 6 year old decided it had to be released from the package.

Hot Wheels Gold Rapid Transit I thought it was very odd to get a Hot Wheels car out of the package. I did some research on this car and it appeared in multi-packs in 2017.

This is the front of the car. While I prefer getting cars in the package, my 6-year-old didn't care at all.

Trophy Depot Racing Keychain I thought this was a very odd choice for a Hot Wheels box. Granted, it is racing themed, but this box is geared for 6-11-year-olds. While some kids may have a house key (maybe the 10/11-year-olds), kids don't typically carry keys. I am sure my son can put it on his backpack, but it's rather heavy.

The back has a space for a nameplate, but the keychain didn't come with one.

Racing T-Shirt My son loves his Hot Wheels shirts. This is a cool racing shirt, but it doesn't say Hot Wheels on it anywhere. It is made by Pley, so it was created for this box.

Hot Wheels Megamat Mat I tried to find a price for this, but I think it has been discontinued. It probably sold for $19.99 new, given prices for other mats. This one features a race track with pit area. This is a fine mat for younger kids, but my kids are 6 and 9 and weren't really interested in it. My son hurt his toe, so I set him up with this box and his cars. His first question was “Can you bring me my track? I want to play with my real track”.

The mat ended up being used as a floorplan to make a large elaborate track. You can see how the box is being used as a tunnel and many of the track pieces and featured stunt pieces from past boxes from Pley.

Final Thought: Overall, I was pretty disappointed with this month's box. I like the “Hot Wheel” designs of the past shirts, I don't get the keychain and I think another car would've been better. I also miss having tracks in the boxes. My son did have fun with the box, mainly because he played with the track he got in past boxes. I do love this subscription and so do my kids. I think this box just didn't meet expectations. You can read my past reviews for this box here.  You can save 25% on your first box with the code WELCOME25
