What's in the box? Boxes come with an unmatched variety of over 250 LEGO® pieces, with 5 new build challenges for the chance to win awesome prizes! You'll also boost your LEGO collection with an Official LEGO® minifigure, and 10 LEGO® minifigure accessories!

Everything ships in a plain brown box.

The theme is “A Circus Mystery”.

There was a card that explained all the challenges in the box, if you didn't want to read the story.

When you open the booklet, there is a table of contents and a welcome letter.

Felipe the singing Lion has gone missing, and the goal is to find out who did it.  The ventriloquist, The Jolly Jugglers, and the magician/assistant are all suspects. As you read the story, you pause and complete the challenge at each brick.

The Detective The first challenge was to create the detective. You can also use pieces from your own box.

Once the build is done, you can name your detective and decorate the mini figure.

This is detective Pete. He has a magic wand, night goggles, and is holding an apple.

Premier: Clock The premier pack has the most amount of bricks in the box. You were challenged to build a clock from just the pieces in the pack.

My 6-year-old and I worked on this together and I think it turned out really well.

Microbuild Challenge: Top Hat Using the pieces in this kit, you have to make a top hat, since it's the first clue to the mystery.

My son doesn't like to be blindfolded, so I did this challenge. It's considerably harder when you are blindfolded

Blindfold: Magic Wand While blindfolded, you have to create a magic wand. This is another clue in the mystery.

My 6-year-old created this one.  I love his creativity and how we did while blindfolded.

Spotlight: Star The last build was to create a star with the spotlight piece and up to 15 of your own pieces.

My son used the pieces from the box to create this star.

Final Thought: This is a fun subscription. Not only do you get a good amount of LEGOs in the box, but there is a fun story to go with all the builds.  My son has been working on his reading skills and this is a fun box we can do together. You can check Booster Bricks at this link.
