Disclosure: I received this box for review.

Chococurb July 2017 Review

Chocococurb is a subscription service devoted to introducing people the best tasting chocolate.  Each month Chococurb sends an assortment of personally selected, extraordinary chocolate treats.  Chococurb sources their chocolate from both local chocolatiers and national brands.

There are tw0 different subscriptions, the regular box, and mini version. The regular subscription is $35.00/month and comes with  5 to 7 bars of chocolate.  The Mini box is $20.00/month and comes with 2-3 bars.

When you find that bar of extraordinary chocolate in your box, you can buy more in their online store.  Chococurb is so serious about chocolate, that they have tasting tips posted on their blog.  Apparently, you are not supposed to scarf down the bar.  For the best chocolate tasting experience, pay attention to the sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste of each piece.  For more detailed tips, check out Sarah Benner's article.

What's in the box? Inside each Chococurb box, you'll find assortment of chocolates or chocolate related items. These items can come from small, local chocolatiers to more established, national brands. Every box will have something new, exciting, and absolutely delicious.

Shipping: United States only and there is free shipping.

When does the box ship? Second Monday of the month.

Everything shipped in a plain white box. Inside the box was a styrofoam cooler that the package below was in.

All the chocolate shipping in a silver insulated bubble envelope.  This protects the chocolate.  This packaged was placed in the cooler with some ice packs, so nothing would melt.

The insulated packaged was place in a white Chococurb box. I gave this box to my parents, so they could be my official taste testers.

jcoco Agave Quinoa Sesame Mini Bar This bar is made with coconut shavings, raw pecans, sea salt, all in milk chocolate. Taste Impressions: This has a distinct salty taste.  My mom thought it was okay, but my dad wasn't a fan.

jcoco Vanuatu Coconut Pecan Mini Bar This bar is a mix of coconut shavings, raw pecans, sea salt and milk chocolate. Taste Impressions: My parents like this one better than the Agave, but my dad still wasn't a fan. My dad loves dark chocolate, so this one just wasn't for him.

Theo Dark Chocolate Salted Almond Butter Cups This is a dark chocolate almond butter cup. Taste Impressions: This was a huge hit! This is a fancy nut butter cup.

Dolfin Milk chocolate with Sencha green tea This is a milk chocolate bar with green tea. Taste Impressions: This was a delicate, creamy, milk chocolate bar with subtle hints of green tea.

Amedei Pistacchi  This is a white chocolate bar with pistachios. Taste Impressions: This was a very tasty white chocolate bar with hints of pistachios.

Mayana Space Bar This dark chocolate bar is filled with vanilla-bean nougat, toasted almonds, and caramel. Taste Impressions: “Oh my goodness! Rich, buttery, crunchy, and delightful”. This was the clear winner!
