Mix Box by Homemade Bakers is a subscription box devoted to baking. Boxes are $26.95/month and comes with step by step instructions with pre-measured ingredients. Ingredients like eggs, butter and milk will not be included in boxes. Each box will give you what you need to create 100% homemade desserts.

First Look
There was a full color brochure about this month's dessert, Old Fashion Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Inside the brochure, there is a breakdown of what you need: ingredients, equipment and quick tips. This recipe makes 3-4 dozen cookies and the equipment was very basic.
There was also a two sided card with details about ingredients and allergens for the food items in the box.
Each of the mixed ingredients was numbered for easy cooking.
The chocolate chips were shipped in a padded insulated package with a cooling pack. It's hot here, and the chips shipped unmelted.
The only ingredients that were not included were eggs and butter.

My 7 year old made most of this recipe himself.
Mixing the ingredients was super easy.
This recipe made so many cookies, I had to cook them in two batches. We didn't care too much about cookie spacing, and they all turned out great.

The finished cookies were so tasty. They were almost as good as my mom's, which are the best cookies on the planet. These are crunchy, but not too dry. They were very tasty and my son loved that he made them with me.
Final Thought: This was a very fun box to do with my son! The cookies turned out fantastic and everyone who has come to my house has taken a few cookies.
