Learning Resources Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set $40.68 My boys received this Learning Resources set, which lets your child program a mouse to go through a maze. This is for sale on Amazon for $40.68, but it only cost us $19.99.

The set included:

When you open the box, there is an activity guide on top and Colby the mouse. Colby takes 3 AAA batteries, not included.

The green pieces fit together to make the floors of the maze.  The maze walls (purple pieces) and tunnels (orange) were packaged together.

These double sided cards give ideas on how your child can arrange the pieces to make a maze.

There are several small cards your child can arrange, to plan how Colby will move.  The colors on the cards correspond to the colored buttons on Colby.

My boys started with an easy maze.

My little guy looks bored, but he was just concentrating on programming Colby.

As my boys got used to Colby, they ventured off into more complicated mazes.  You program Colby to move around the maze, till he gets the cheese. My kids like a similar type of game at Chili's, so they were all about this.

As my kids played, they started to make and program their own paths.

Final Thought: This was a great project! My boys learned coding and were able to play together without fighting. I am not sure which more pleased me more! This has been pulled out to play with several times since we received it.  Since this kit sells on Amazon for $40, we also got a great value. Amazon has three different STEM subscriptions for kids 3-13.  Subscribe and choose one of these three plans.
