GlobeIn has already started to add great features to their boxes and more are rolling out soon.  Here is a complete list!

GlobeIn has also has a Benefit Basket.   The Benefit Basket contains one crafted good from a remarkable, remote artisan, all in a colorful, handwoven basket from their weaving collective in Oaxaca, Mexico.  You will also get story of the artisan, their community, and how you are making an impact on their lives.  The Benefit Basket is $19.95/month or $56.95 for 3 months, but you can get $7.00 off your 1 box of a 3 month subscription with the code TRYBENEFIT

Everything shipped in a big brown box.  On the side of the box, there was a sicker “We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.

First Look

The information book has detailed information about everything in the box.

Neem Wood Travel Cutting Board, India $15.00 This cutting board is made from a family of wood carvers.  Chayya, a young grandmother, learned the trade from her husband, who comes from a long line of wood carvers.  The family travels all over, while making their wood carvings.  They also employ 24 artisans, and even doubled their staff when GlobeIn ordered this piece.  This wood cutting board is very smooth and doesn't contain any rough edges.  You can use it as a cutting board, or as a serving tray for sandwiches, cheese or fruit.

Color Travel Cup, India This is a stainless steal cup that is hand painted by Dilshad Hussain.  Dilshad is a part of Noah's Ark, which is an organization developed in 1986 to help establish fair trade in Moradabad, India.  Today, the organization runs three schools and provides clean water and healthcare to over 700 artisans.

Peace Picnic Blanket, Cambodia $30.00 This was the item in the box that I was most excited about.  This picnic blanket measure 3 x 5 feet in size and the bottom is made of recycled plastic bags.  If you remember the August 2015 GlobeIn Box, the laundry bag in that box, is made of the same materials as this blanket.  The bottom is woven recycled plastic bags, while the top is a soft pretty plaid fabric.  I love that these won't let standing water leak through the blanket.

Here is an idea of it's size, it's pretty big!

Bottle Basket, Mexico $12.00 Subscribers had the option of getting this bottle basket, instead of the regular woven basket.  This basket can hold a bottle of wine, water, or your favorite beverage.  This basket can also help project a glass bottle from breaking during travel.  This would also be a lovely housewarming gift.

This is a look inside the basket.

Final Thought: I am not sure the value of the cup, but all the other items added up to a $57.00 value!  I really loved the picnic blanket in this box.  I have a picnic blanket that I like, but it doesn't have a water barrier like this one.  The painted cup is also very nice.  I hope they get stocked in the online store, because I really want three more. You can save $10.00 on your first box of a three-month subscription, just use the coupon GLOBEMOM10.
