PicMonkey Collage

EatPakd is a healthy lunch subscription box that is designed for children. Subscriptions are set up on a weekly basis.  You can choose between 4, 8 and 12 meals a week. The 4 meal plan is $26.00, 8 meals is $50.00 and 12 meals is $72.00.  When you sign up, you can select from a set menu, or customize packs.  You can also remove certain ingredients from packs, like spinach from the sandwiches.  Like other meals subscriptions, you can skip any week from your account. I saw a promo code to try EatPakd free, so I signed up.

The Details

Cost: 4 Meals $26.00/wk, 8 Meals $50.00/wk, 12 Meals $72.00/wk.

What's in the box? Each week you will get 4-12 healthy lunch packs, all designed for kids.

Everything came in a brown box and was delivered by FedEx.

First Look.  All the lunch packs were packaged in insulated packaging, along with two large ice packs.  Everything arrived fresh and very cold.

Each meal comes in a cardboard wrapping.

Each pack lists the meal and every ingredient.

The Aloha Pak by Darla: Ham and whole wheat crackers served with sliced cucumbers, pineapple bites, and coconut cookies drizzled with chocolate. Each pack has four sections that snap together.  You can unsnap the containers, so they fit in a lunch box.  This reminded me of a healthy lunchable.  My 4 year old is one of the pickiest eaters ever, so I got many of these meals for him.  I can literally list the foods he eats on my two hands.  Surprisingly, he ate this entire meal. It's really hard for me to get him to eat meat and veggies, so I was thrilled he ate cucumbers and ham.

Veggie Nuggets Pak Veggie Nuggets served with pineapple & blueberry, green pea fries, and pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. My son could live on chicken nuggets, so I selected two of these meals (I only took pictures of one).  The nuggets are made with veggies and the muffins have pumpkin.  I am not sure what the sauce was for the nuggets, but it had a ketchup-like taste.  Once again, the entire meal was consumed!

Turkey Wrap Pak Turkey, provolone, and spinach in a whole grain wrap, served with grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, green apples, and a chocolate brownie with carrots and spinach snuck inside.  I selected this meal for me, since I didn't know if T would eat any of the meals.  I loved this meal, especially that is was pre-made and healthy. While these are designed for kids, I thought the portions were large.  This was enough to fill me up for lunch.

Final Thought: I was really impressed with the quality of the food, and I was down right thrilled that T ate these lunch packs.  It has been such a challenge to get him to eat different foods.  The kid doesn't even like pasta!  This subscription isn't cheap, which is really the only negative.  For four meals, it comes out to $6.50 per meal, plus a small shipping fee.  If you subscribe for a bigger plan, it gets much cheaper.  I am not canceling and plan to see what meals come available.  The fact that my super picky eat ate these meals is a huge plus, and honestly outweighs the cost for me.  This also gave me ideas for healthy foods I can make at home that he will eat. You can try EatPakd for a week completely free, just use the code “4paktrialdisc“.
