Bramble Box chose a safari theme for the August 2016 Bramble Box.
Bramble Box is a play subscription box for children 3-7 years old. Each box is $25.00/month and boxes are filled with dramatic play materials. Boxes have specific themes, like post office, detective, and scientist.
When you sign up, you will get a welcome kit with a pack of crayons, glue and sticker book. Instead of being surprised each month, you can now pick your box each month for up to 6 months.

Instead of their usual boxes, this month's box was much larger and had the theme sticker on the top.
First Look
Passport and Sticker You can't go on a safari without a passport, so Bramble Box included a cute one for kids. The sticker goes in your child's welcome book, a new sticker is sent each month.
The inside of the passport has information that can be personalized for your child. There was a binoculars craft included in the box, and the directions were included in the book.
There were pages in the book to educate kids about giraffes, elephants, lions, and zebras.
Safari Hat This didn't look too much like a safari hat to me, but my 4 year old loved it and even wore. This is the kid who hates hats, so I will take that as a win.
Animals These rubber animals can be used in many activities. Bramble Box recommended hiding the animals and letting your child go on safari to find them.
Binoculars Craft You child can decorate and assemble their own binoculars. There were five animals stamps, washi tape, yarn and a sheet of animal patterns to cut out.
My son's favorite part was stamping the tubes with the animal stamps.
We took Bramble Box camping and it was a great camping activity.
T was so stinking cute trying to find all the animals.
T was on a mission to find every single animal.
T loved his safari, as you can see from the smile.
After the safari, T set up all his animals and we discussed each one.
These are the finished binoculars. Note, the picture above has more tape than the safari pictures, because the paper came loose.
Final Thought This ended up being a really fun box for my son. I wasn't really impressed when I first opened the box, but T played with everything several times on our camping trip. Bramble Box always seems to make boxes that kids love. When you subscribe, be sure to check out their blog for more ideas to use with the box. This month, there was additional information online to make jungle slime, a safari vest, an African necklace from a paper plate and discover African Ecosystems.
