The box has historical characters all over the box.

When you open the box, the theme of the box is on the front.

First Look

There was a colorful booklet filled with information about Alexander the Great.

There was a full page biography about Alexander the Great.  The next page was about the medical advances the century before Alexander the Great was born.  The book discusses Hippocrates is the founder of The Four Humors.

There were pages depicting different art works of Alexander the Great.

There was information about how common gestures we use today came to be.  The next page described how to do the activity included in the box.

The back has a map with the area Alexander the Great conquered.

The Four Humors Blood Button There was a button of blood, which is associated with the temperament sanguine.

Alexander the Great Sticker There was also a sticker of Alexander the Great to add to your timeline.

Accoutrements Alexander the Great Action Figure $9.42 These was a very cool action figure of Alexander the Great. The back of the box had a full biography of Alexander the Great.  Alexander has already been released from his packaging and has been conquering areas of the house.

This is a look at the back of the box.

Cartoon: The was a cartoon to color about Alexander the Great.

Paint by Numbers Map: The main activity this month was a paint by numbers map of Alexander the Great's Empire.  The was a thick map, paint holder, water dropper and paint.  There was supposed to get a paintbrush that was supposed to be included, but was left out of our box. We had several lying around the house, so it wasn't a big deal.

The first step was to mix the paint concentrate with water.

There were Roman Numerals on different areas of the map to indicate where to paint.

This is the finished map.  It took some time to pain t all the areas of the map, but it turned out well.

Final Thought: History Unboxed is the only education subscription box for children.  I like their new curriculum plan, which makes it perfect for homeschoolers or children who love learning about history.  If you want to subscribe, use the code subboxmom to get 5% off your first subscription.
