Creation Crate March 2016 Review
Creation Crate is a subscription that teaches you how to build electronics, even if you have no experience. Boxes are $29.99/month and comes with all the materials you need to build the hardware and program your item. The three main items you will get in your box is a the UNO R3 (Arduino-compatible) (aka computer), components and instructions. The only thing you need is a computer and a USB port. You will also learn how the project works. Each subsequent month will get a bit harder.

All the instructions to build the hardware and program the item were in the instruction box. This month, subscribers are taught to make a Mood Lamp.
There was a page with everything in the box, along with introduction into this month's project.
Inside the box there was the following items:
- Light Dependent Resistor
- LEDs
- Jumper Wiires
- OHM Resistor
- Breadboard
- UNO R3
- USB Cable
- Chinese Paper Lantern
There were step by step instruction to assembling the lamp. The instructions were easy to follow and there were pictures to go with the steps.

This is the completed project, minus the lamp.
Once the hardware was completed, you had to go online and program the lamp. The programming turns on certain lights and comes on when the room is dark enough.
There was a website and step by step instruction to writing the code.

Final Thought: This was a great box for anyone interesting in learning about electronics. This would be a great box for teens interesting in programming too. The finished project turned out great and I was impressed with how easy the instructions were to follow.
