My Peaches & Petals January 2016 Box arrived and I dug in the box right away. Peaches & Petals is a subscription box for women that is filled with various fashion and beauty items. The box this month was pretty heavy and quite large.
First Look
The theme for January is ” No time like the present!”
Included in the box was a selfie stick. Subscribers are encouraged to take a selfie with as many smiling faces as they can and submit it to Peaches & Petals. The picture should involve doing something new. A winner will be chosen and that person will get an experience of their choice, like skydiving, hot air balloon ride etc. The fine print of this contents is on their website.
Hamilton Beach Fruit Infuser Bottle I have a fruit infuser bottle, but since I am on a mission to drink a gallon of water a day, I am glad to have another. I must have something flavored in my water and these bottles are perfect for that. You can put fresh fruit in the center compartment, and the flavor will slower infuse into the water. I like to put strawberries and a lemon in the center at night and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning, your water will taste fresh and fruity. I tried to find the retail price, but I couldn't find it for sale anywhere.
Kikkerland Selfie Stick $12.50 I own a selfie stick but it's a generic one and it doesn't have a button. This one plugs in your phone and has a little button to take pictures. I did try this out and it works very well.
Adventure Jewelry This is a thin gold bracelet with an airplane and cloud. This fits with the adventure theme, but the quality fell a bit short. If you look close, you can see some discoloration on the front and back of the plane.
Inspirational Decal This is going in my journal and I am going to make a list of all the places I want to go in the next 5 years. I love to travel and I will take any excuse to plan one.
Family Circle Healthy Home-style Cooking: Over 300 Delicious Recipes for Family Favorites Originally $34.96 (Amazon price $5.95). I really don't mind the discounted price, because the book has some nice recipes. I am on week 7 on eating healthier and I am pretty committed to the change. This will give me some ideas to incorporate into our family dinners.
