Art Crate October 2015 Review

Art Crate is an art subscription box that sends a personal curator to pick out a piece of art based on your home decor preferences.  Prints start at $22.00 and you can choose the size of your print and if they will be framed.  To start, you fill out a profile about your preferences.  Once you complete your survey, you pick your size of print.  On the 15th of each month, you will be emailed your print selections.  You can pick one of the prints, or do nothing and let Art Crate pick.  You can also skip or cancel anytime.

Below is the three plans (small, medium and large).  Each plan has two different size prints.  You can also choose to get your print framed.

Here is a look at the cost breakdown.  Each size also has a framing option.

The frame was wrapped in thick bubble wrap.

There was a two-sided general information card.  The back states Art Crate's guarantee.  If you are not satisfied with your order, you can email Art Crate and return the print at their expense.

There was a smaller card which indicated the size and frame for my print.  My card apparently walked off after my video, so I took a screen shot.

Black and White 11 x 14 I love this print.  I am a huge fan of black and white prints, especially art similar Ansel Adams.  My bedroom is black and white and has Ansel Adam prints on the walls, this will go nicely with my other prints.

The print is professionally printed and there is wire attached to hang it on the wall.

There was a card on the that informed you about who made the print.  I like that the card was stuck to the back of the frame, so months/years later, you don't have to keep track of a card to remember the artist.

There was one issue with the frame, there was a small chip.  I did speak Art Crate and they wrote back right away.  They were upset that the frame was received with a chip and probably happened in shipping.  I told Art Crate I didn't want a new frame (I touched it up with a black marker) and a they assured me that any problems with prints would be corrected by the company.

Final Thought:  I was really impressed with this Art Crate!  I don't by art often and I am rather picky.  Art Crate was able to find a print that was absolutely perfect for me.  I like that you can pick your print or skip all together, so you don't have to get a print you don't like.  If you want to check out Art Crate, use this link with the code ENJOYART20 to save 20% off your 1st month.
