First Look

There was a two-sided information card with a list of everything in the box.  They also feature a short biography of each company.

Rosemary “Gin & Juice” Shortbread Tea Biscuits from Skull & Cakebones $9.99 These Vegan friendly shortbread biscuits have a layer of glaze on one side that is made of grapefruit and pink peppercorn.  These are a really densely made snack, I could only eat 1/2 at a time.

Sour Cream & Onion Kale Chips by Sarah's Kale Chips $8.00 As soon as I saw that these were kale, I expected to hate these.  I don't like many leafy foods (ie lettuce, raw spinach, etc).  These Sour Cream and Onion Kale Chips were really quite good, probably because the sour cream and onion flavor really take over the bitterness of the kale.

Here is a closer look at the kale.

Organic Fruit-Infused Water by Sway $4.00 This purified water is infused with real fruits.  This tasted like water with a hint of ginger. My husband thought it was good, but not as flavorful as he expected.

Finishing Salts by LENOIR $14.00 This salt is made of  a combination of pink Himalayan salt, house-made Herbes de Tejas (dried herbs with chilies, lavendar and fenugreek) and dhana dal (roasted coriander seeds).  It smells fantastic and I think it would be great on fish.

Here is a closer look.

Pickled Blueberry Preserves by Confituras $10.00 These preserves are made of blueberries in a pickled syrup of cinnamon and black pepper.

Lavender Mosquito Repellent by Lavande Farm $10.00  This is an all natural bug spray that protects your from bites for up to 3 hours.  I love the smell of lavender, so this will be used.

Petite Wall Vase in Box Style with Resin Inlay by BDJ Craft Works $32.00 These were sent to subscribers in three different woods: maple, cherry and walnut.  I love this design and it's just big enough for a couple of flowers (maybe one).  The inner tube comes out when you want to fill it with water or clean it.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $87.99.  This was a really impressive box.  My favorite items are the bug spray and the vase.  All the food items I have tasted so far have been amazing.  If you want to try Coterie Sampler, sign up through October 4th to get the September box.  Orders after Oct 4th will get October.  If you use this link with the code BOXMOM, you will save 5% on your first box.  Also, Coterie Sampler is giving one subscriber a box (you will get Oct or Nov), just enter below.
