August 2015 Citrus Lane Review – 5 Year Old Boy

I was happy that both of my boys' Citrus Lane boxes came on the same day.  Citrus Lane is a subscription for 0-5 year olds and each month.  For $29.95/month, they send boxes filled with cool toys, books, snacks, personal care items and more.  Both of my boys have subscriptions to Citrus Lane: ages: 6 and 3.   This is the box for my 6 year old son.  Even though he is over the 5 year mark, he still likes Citrus Lane.

Citrus Lane ships between the 17-22 each month.

First Look

The information card contains a list of everything in the box, along with coupon codes for featured products.

Janod 52 Splash Magnetic Letters $22.95  This was one of the spoilers I saw and really wanted in our Citrus Lane boxes.  While my son already knows his letters, this a great way to practice sounds and making words.  My 3-year-old will also love playing with these.

Here is a look at some of the letters.

Pop Out + Color Pirates $11.00  This is a 3D puzzle that can be colored then assembled.  My 6-year-old really doesn't like the coloring at all, so I might end up coloring it for him to play with, or it may be gifted to another child.

This is a look at the back of the box, The kit comes with stickers, puzzle pieces and colored pencils.

Bumpkins Snack Bag $4.95  While my 3-year-old will use his snack bag for food, my 6-year-old is using his for rock and other small toys.  He has many different collections and is perfect to help store them.

Good 2 Grow Juicy Water $1.25 est My kids have had Good 2 Grow juice before, and they love them.  This juice is free from added sugar, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.  L is going to love this.  I might make him a special lunch for school and send this.

Gathered Table Coupon:  Each box received an offer to try Gathered Table 40% off.  Gathered Table is a recipe subscription box that sends you pre-planed menus every week.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $40.15.  I loved the magnetic letters and I even think the pirate kit is really cute, even if my son won't color it.  I am going to see how my son likes this box and then decide if I should continue his subscription.  If you want to try Citrus Lane, check out one of the offers below.
