Yuzen Summer 2015 Review

Yuzen is a quarterly eco-friendly subscription box that sends various natural and organic lifestyle products.  Boxes are $33.00 and are delivered in the spring, summer, fall and winter.  Yuzen says they “send a little zen every season”.  I was sent the Summer 2015 Yuzen box for review.

The Details:

Cost: $33.00/Quarter

Shipping: Yuzen ships to the US only.

What's in the box? Each box contains a new and different variety of premium lifestyle products (skincare, household, gourmet treats and more!).

My box shipped in a larger priority shipping box (for review purposes), but the main box is brown with blue flowers.  Unlike the Spring 2015 box, there wasn't an inside box this time, as Yuzen is going to more eco-friendly packaging.

Yuzen always has beautiful packaging.

Everything was tucked inside a bag, and it was packed!

Yuzen sends very detailed information cards, they contain the name, description and the reason why that product was chosen for the box.

Suntegrity 5-in1 Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen: $4.95 This sunscreen is also a BB cream.  I received the color fair, which is perfect for my skin tone and I like that this also has a spf of 30.  This is perfect for the pool, as it protects your skin from the sun and gives you a bit of coverage.

Jurlique Purely Age Defying Firming and Tightening Serum  $10.40  It's always hard to review serums, as they always take time to show results.  This is paraben free, and free from artificial colors and fragrances, all while promising firmer and tighter skin.

Hugo Naturals Vanilla and Sweet Orange Shower Gel: $3.00  Vanilla and orange scents are not my first choice for scents, but this is a nice refreshing blend.  It has aloe and vitamin E to add moisture to your skin.

Aromafloria Muscle Soak Ocean Mineral Bath Salts: $3.00 Thanks to subscription boxes, I love baths for the bath bombs, bath steamers and other bath items.  This moisturizing bath salt has a combination of eucalyptus, peppermint and lemongrass and it smells amazing.

SPA Ritual Nail Lacquers in “Strike a Pose”: $6.50 I love this pretty pink polish and it is three free and vegan too.

Lasting Smiles Organic Peppermint Creme Lip Balm: $6.00 Lasting Smiles donates a cleft lip surgery for a child in need for every 1,000 lip balms sold.  The peppermint lip balm feels great on your lips and leaves them a bit tingly.

Aromaflage Botanical Fragrance & Insect Repellent: $6.00  This bug repellent is scented with cardamom, warm cedarwood, and snappy spruce.  I wouldn't pick this to wear as perfume, but it smells much better than bug repellent.

Torie and Howard Meyer Lemon and Raspberry Organic Hard Candy $5.00 I discovered Torie and Howard through subscription boxes and they are great tasting candy.  The lemon/raspberry flavor was new to me and I really loved them.

Shea Moisture Zanzibar Marine Complex Replenish & Rejuvenate Hand Cream: $5.99 Made with marine algae extracts, black pearl protein, sea buckthorn oil and organic shea butter, this hand cream comes out of the bottle rather thick, but moisturizes your skin and doesn't leave a film/residue.

There were information booklets about the Suntegrity and Aromafloria.  There was also a $1.00 coupon for the Shea Moisture.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $50.84.  I thought the summer box was pretty nice and I like everything in the box.  The bath salts were my favorite product in the box, along with the lip balm.  I love that Yuzen sends products that are both eco-friendly and useful!  You can check out Yuzen here.
