Ipsy August 2014 Review

Ipsy is a great beauty subscription. At only $10.00 a month, you get a glam bag full of 4-5 beauty items.  You can't beat the price and I love the glam bags.  You fill out a survey about your makeup preferences and then Ipsy sends a bag geared to your preferences.  Once you get your bag, you can review your items online, and tell Ipsy what you think.  When you complete reviews, you earn points, which can be redeemed for special items.

My Ipsy bag was packed this month.  I used my points to get some things in the Ipsy shop.

These are the three things I got with my points, these were not part of my subscription.

Teadora Rainforest at Night Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner  This helps hold color, prevent split ends and control frizz.

Teadora Rainforest at Dawn Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner  This does the same things the Night does and protects your hair from UV damage.

Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base In One: This is a glistening plummy mauve.   This can be worn as a shadow or as a long lasting primer.

The theme this month is “Beauty Schooled”

The bag this month is a longer white bag with orange polka dots.  It has a slick/plastic outside, so this would be good for the pool.  This isn't the cutest bag Ipsy has done, but it isn't ugly either.

Manna Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion $10.79.  I put this on and really couldn't tell a difference, until I got into a brighter light.  This adds just a hint of shimmer.  You can use this alone or add it to foundation.

MONGONGO LIP BALM ANTI-AGING $5.50 This lip balm helps protect your lips from UV rays and it has all kinds of other stuff to make your lips hydrated and feeling great.  This is a win for me!

GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD® TINGLEXFOLIATE TREATMENT $20.30.  I love GlamGlow.  I received GlamGlow in my last Glossybox and it was amazing.  I am happy to get more.

Lord and Berry Eye Pencil $4.00  This is a mini eyeliner of the silk Kajal Kohl eyeliner.  This goes on nicely, but I have so many black eyeliners.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara $5.50:  This is a new mascara from Urban Decay.  This promises to give you “Bigger, Blacker, Badder” lashes.  I haven't tried this yet, as I have mascara I need to use up.

Final Thought: This bag had a value of $46.09!  Once again Ipsy provided a cute bag, with nice makeup for only $10.00.  My favorite item was the GlamGlow and it was worth more than I paid for the bag.  The lip balm is another favorite this month.  Ipsy is only $10.00 a month, and if you want to try it out, click HERE.
