MissionCute Subscription Box Review

MissionCute sent me this box to review. MissionCute is a new subscription box that comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses.  Each month, MissionCute works with a very special nonprofit to help promote their mission, raise awareness, and donate 50% of their monthly net proceeds from the MissionCute boxes to their organization.   I am a huge supporter of subscription box companies that give back.  How fun, to get a box of cute items, while supporting an important mission!

MissionCute

MissionCute came by USPS and arrived in a cute brown box, with the MissionCute label on top.

First Look

I was impressed by my first look.  I love the polka dot tissue paper!

MissionCute Card

MissionCute doesn't have a traditional information card.  The include a card with MissionCute's social media handles on it.

The Westview House

The back of the card features the mission of the month.

This month, MissionCute is sponsoring The Westview House located in Burlington, Vermont!  Westview is an amazing support organization that supports individuals who are recovering from psychiatric illness.  Through monthly dinners, holiday events and support groups, Westview has become a home away from home to many of it's members!

Westview's Mission is to is to provide opportunities for members to perform meaningful work, to grow through responsibility and leadership and to develop their skills as individuals.

The people who attend Westview House are called members.  Members are encouraged to participate at their own level and to join in group meetings that address common issues and decision making within the Westview community.  Members are empowered in this program which is built on individual and group goals.

My degrees are in social work, so this mission is close to my heart.  I think this is a fabulous organization.

The Woodberry Press Cards

The Woodberry Press Cards $8.83: The Woolberry Press first started out as a home-grown, paper-lovin' invitation-making business and has grown into a full time company in only a few short years.  There were three paper products/stationary included in the box.  The first was a card with a dear that said Oh dear…, but had a picture of the dear, instead of the word.  There was also a nature postcard and a lined stationary card.

Clean Line Soap Company Double French Clay Fatial Soap

Clean Line Soap Company Double French Clay Fatial Soap: $5.50: Great for all skin types, this double french clay facial bar is cleansing without being drying as so many facial soaps are.  This bar is especially good for oilier skin. It also has just a bit of lavender essential oil, which is known for being skin soothing and a splash of tea tree oil, which has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. All in all, it's an incredibly gentle bar, good not just for your face, but your body as well.

I normally don't use bar soaps. but I have started to use a few in subscription boxes.  As long as I don't have to share them, I am really growing to like bar soap.  I tried this soap and liked how clean it made my skin feel.  It has a neutral scent, which I appreciated.

Vanilla and Rose Crochet Coffee Mug Cozy

Vanilla and Rose Crochet Coffee Mug Cozy $8.00: This re-useable cozy is perfect to keeping your hands protected from hot drinks. This size fits mugs 10 oz and up.  I don't drink coffee, so I am using this for my soda.  This can also be used for cups that are odd shaped.  A portion of items at Vanilla and Rose go to help children and families in need.  I can see why MissionCute picked this artisan.

Simply Whimsical Gifts Pot Pinchers

Simply Whimsical Gifts Pot Pinchers: $12.00: These little pot pinchers are great for grabbing pots off the stove and hot things out of the microwave.
