WhimseyBox February 2014 – Needle Felting – Save $5.00 – Craft Subscription Box Review

WhimseyBox is a craft subscription box that sends a complete craft, with all the supplies needed, for $15.00 a month. Every month, WhimseyBox sends project instructions, DIY supplies, a reusable storage box, and an original 5×7 original art print each month. WhimseyBox's slogan is “Stop pinning, start making”.  I love Pinterest, but I am horrible at completing projects.  It takes so much time to plan a craft, take the kids to the store with me and then attempt the project.  WhimseyBox sends everything to me for only $15.00 a month.

WhimseyBox First Look

I was drawn to the Lama card, as soon as I opened the box.  That was the artwork for the month.  All the supplies were packaged neatly in the box.

There was also a card with all the contents listed.

Felt Craft Directions

The craft this month was to make a needle felted turnip.  WhimseyBox emailed subscribers and gave them the choice for animal or veggie.  I chose animal, but I got the turnip craft.  Even though this is not the one I picked, I think the little turnip is cute,

WhimseyBox included everything I needed to completed the craft.  The white sticker can be used to put your name on it, and affix it to your finished piece.  WhimseyBox also included some Washi tape.  I am going to use my Washi, for my planner.

WhimseyBox February 2014 Review

I couldn't wait to complete the project.  The steps were easy to follow and it took me 30 mins or less.  Making the end of the turnip was the hardest part.  My end result turned out pretty good.  My four year old loved my little turnip and wanted to keep him.

Mr Turnip

This is Mr Turnip.  I poked my hand with a few needles, but overall, it was a really fun project!

Final Thought:  I really love WhimseyBox.  I loved completing this project and it didn't take me long to complete.  My four year old was able to play right along side me while I worked.  I look forward to seeing WhimseyBox on my door each month.  SAVE.  You can save $5.00 on your first box by clicking HERE.
