Stork Stack January Update

Stork Stack January Update: There have been numerous concerns about the products from A Harvest Company in the January stacks.  Some of the cork stackers have fallen apart an can be a choking hazard.  I was disappointed to get an infant teether for my toddler.

Update 1/21:  THE Cork Stacker has been recalled.

Stork Stack Community:

We wanted to let you know that one of the product manufacturers, A Harvest Company, is conducting a voluntary recall of their 3-piece Cork Stacker Block set. Please see notice below.

Some of the Stork Stack subscribers in January 2014 were recipients of these products. We will be contacting all Stork Stack subscribers who received the Cork Stacker Block set by email today. If you were a recipient of the Cork Stacker Blocks, please discard the product and discontinue use.
Furthermore, the affected members will be refunded for the 3-piece Cork Stacker Block product. Additional information will follow shortly on this.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience or worry caused, and we thank you for your patience as we continue to resolve this issue.

For more information about the recall, please contact service@aharvestcompany.com.

Sincerely,
Stork Stack

1/20: Chris from Stork Stack released this statement moments ago

“Members of the Stork Stack Community –

I want you to know that I take your concerns about the Harvest Cork Stacker very seriously. We have been looking into this issue since it was first called to our attention. I have personally read every email, I have read every Facebook post, and I have listened to every message.

We are currently engaged in conversation with the product manufacturer, A Harvest Company, about these concerns. I promise we will update you as soon as we have complete information. While we understand it may be hard to ask for patience right now, I need to make sure that we get correct answers and give you accurate information rather than simply provide fast (and potentially incorrect) information. I wanted to send this note out so that you can be sure this matter is receiving my undivided attention.

In the meantime, there is nothing – and I repeat, NOTHING – that is more important than the safety of our little members. If at any time you feel a product is unsafe for your child, we recommend refraining from use.

We will get to the bottom of this and make this situation right for you. I will get back to all of you with a resolution promptly.

Thank you for your patience as we sort through this matter.

Chris”

I am glad to see this statement by Stork Stack.  I hope they address everyone's concerns.  I did end up canceling my subscription earlier today.  Depending on how Stork Stack handles this situation and depending on what their box looks like next month, I may resubscribe.
