Home Made Luxe ships in a big white box.

First Look

First Look.  The was a sheet on top that let you know what you would be making.  This month,  you will make a Starburst Mirror that resembles Antrhopologie Queen Anne's Lace Mirror (retail $98.00).

The back of the sheet had detailed instructions for making the craft.  If you prefer step by step video instructions, a link was included to watch a video.  You can see the video here.

The Supplies

7 inch mirror and 12 gauge gold wire.

There was a 7 inch mirror and 12 gauge gold wire.

8 inch Styrofoam disc.

The center of the mirror was made from an 8 inch Styrofoam disc.

tools

Tools: You only needed a foam brush, E6000, and paint to finish to complete the project.  You also needed wire cutters and measuring tape, which weren't included in the box.

Building the Project

The project was pretty simple.  Paint the disc (only the side and outside edge), cute the wire, bend the wire and place in the Styrofoam.  I am pretty crafty, but my husband ended up completing this project.

The Completed Project

Finished Project.  I really wasn't wild about the design when I first saw it, but after seeing it on my wall, I think it's kinda neat.  I wish there was a back to the Styrofoam with a hanger, to finish the project.

Final Thought  My husband had fun completing the project.  The instructions were easy to follow, as well as the video instructions.  While we had wire cutters, I am not sure if that is a tool most people have in their homes.  Not having wire cutters would've made this project harder to complete.  The subscription is expensive for the materials received.  A back to the mirror with a hanger would've finished the project better.  The project was fun to complete and if you love to craft, this subscription fits the bill.  To subscribe, use this link with use the coupon SUBBOXMOM to save 10% on your 1st box.

That looks awesome. I think it’s a good value if one is looking for curation rather than the cost of supplies.
