First Look

The Winter People: A Novel

The Winter People: A Novel $18.94 In 1908,Sara Harrison Shea  was found dead in the field behind her house, months after her daughter Gertie's death.  Years later (present day), Ruthie, her mother and younger sister Alice move into the same farmhouse Sara lived in.  They decide to live off the grid, then Alice suddenly disappears.  After finding Sara's old dairy, she uses the clues to find out what happened to her sister.

The synopsis alone has be glued to this book.  I can't wait for a free moment so I can read this.

The Last Dead Girl

The Last Dead Girl $12.57 In this book, David falls in love with Jane, a young law student.  When she meets David, she is living in a tiny apartment, with very few possessions and a bruise on her cheek (which she won't explain).  When Jane is tragically murdered, David is the suspect.  Through his investigation, he discovers her murder may be related to a past murder, one Jane was obsessed with the last weeks of her life.

This looks like a great book and just the type of book I would pick out for myself.

Candy'Treats

Candy'Treats:  The bonus treat this month was a bag of candy and a Halloween bookmark.  While I tend to spoil my boys, this candy will be for me.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $31.51, not counting the candy.  I am really interested in both books and will read them both.  Given Amazon's amazing prices with books, I love that this box's value was double the cost of the box.  You can pick the genre of books you get and you will get two books and a bonus for $9.99 plus $5.00 shipping.  If you want to try BookCase Club, use this link with the code CRATEJOY to save 10%.
