First Look:  Okay, this isn't exactly the first look, as there was an information card on top.  The first snack I noticed was the macadamia nuts.

009

The information card had a picture with corresponding number and descriptions.

053

Hong Yuan Classic Guava Hard Candy: These candies taste just like guavas.  C and I had these in another box and we loved them.

052

Enjoy Arare:  These are Japanese crackers flavored with soy sauce.  These tasted a bit burnt to me.  My husband and I didn't care for these crackers.

051

Li Hing Mui Drops: This is hard candy with a plum center.  The plum center is a bit like a powder, it tastes good and it is an interesting combination of textures.

050

Hawaiian Host Maui Caramacs:  This is chocolate and caramel covered macadamia nuts.  This treat is fantastic.  The chocolate and caramel covered the macadamia nuts, but doesn't over power them.

049

Mauna Loa Milk Chocolate Macadamias:  These are milk chocolate covered macadamia nuts.  The milk chocolate and nuts created a great melody that are quite addicting.

047

Beans Group Wasabi Peas: These are crunchy, spicy wasabi coated peas.  I am not a fan of wasabi, so I am going to pass these on to a friend.

046

Shelly Senbei Rice Crackers:  The rice crackers are lightly salted and flavored with dried seaweed.  I don't like dried seaweed, but these aren't bad.  The seaweed tastes a bit like spinach.

043

Glico Pretz Salad: These are crunchy cracker sticks that have a salad flavor, which has a sweet and salty flavor.

042

Island Princess Honey Roasted Macadamia Nuts:  I love macadamia nuts and the honey roasted flavor makes these taste fantastic!  I love these and I wish the bag was bigger.

054

Final Thought: I really enjoyed The Tiki Box, especially the macadamia nut products.  The guava candy was also a favorite.  There were a few snacks I didn't care for, but I think it was a well curated box.  For $15.00, I felt this box was right in line with price as other snack subscriptions and I found some yummy snacks.  If you want to try The Tiki Box, click here.

  1. Sheri, March 5, 2015:

I’m from HI and this is pretty accurate as far as what kinds of snacks you find around these parts! Mauna Loa actually has a new one that came out last year: cookies n creme covered mac nuts. Sooooo good!

    Those do sound good!
