Embellished Box shiped by USPS.  It actually ships wrapped in brown paper.

First Look: There is wrapping paper that secures everything in the box.

036

The theme for this month is  “Let's Washi”.   There was a booklet with the instructions and an additional paper telling you about Embellished Boxes.

038

Inside the information card were the instructions for both projects.  The first project was D.I.Y Washi Tape Notebook.  The second project was D.I.Y Washi Tape Neckaces.

039

There was also a card with all the included supplies.  To do this month's project, you also need super glue or another quick dry glue.

044

There were two rolls of washi tape.

041

Embellished Boxes included everything you need to make two necklaces.

043

There were also two notebooks to washi!

Making the projects:

The necklaces were super easy and fun to make.   You take your washi and decorate the bezel cups.  You trim the extra, then add the superglue and the glass dome.  Once the dome is on, you put it in the chain and add a little jump ring to the end.

Finished necklaces: I loved how each necklace turned out.

Closeup: I did a basic washi look for both necklaces.  These took only minutes to make.

050

I put some washi on one of the notebooks.  I haven't decided what to do with the other notebook yet.  I added my initials and I am going to keep this notebook in my purse.

052All three completed pieces

Final Thought:  I was really impressed with this month's box.  Washi is really fun to play with.  I loved the necklace craft.  It didn't come with super glue, but you can get some at the dollar store.  The necklaces are great for gifts as well.  The notebook was fun to make and this project could also be done by a child, for a teacher gift.  Embellished Box sent two really fun crafts for only $12.95!  If you want to try Embellished Boxes, click HERE and use the code  SPOFFER15 to save 15% off your purchase.
